Our
Creative Process
The
process for developing imagery that communicates well is the
same no matter what delivery method is chosen. The first step
is to define your audience and the goal you wish to accomplish.
Once that is done, you can begin to construct the most effective
solution.
What you
can expect from ArtEscapes is a collaborative process
for developing the best visual solutions to meet your needs.
The images on the right are examples from the development
of a custom interface design. The stages of the process for
this design are listed below:
Stage
1: INFORMATION GATHERING
Initial
information gathering and brainstorming meeting to discuss
the project at a high level.
Stage
2: RESEARCH
Use information
from the brainstorming meeting to begin development of design
ideas. This may include further research on the topic, the
use of possible metaphors, and initial sketches to start
visualizing a solution.
Stage
3: SELECT/FOCUS & REFINE
Focus on
two or three of the best design directions that will meet
the clients needs based on the research stage, and refine
sketches to send to the client for review.
Stage
4: COLLABORATION & REVIEW
Collaborate
with the client during the review process, make modifications
to sketches to refine the design, and get client approval
on the final design.
Stage
5: COLOR SELECTION
Once sketches
are approved, color versions are created for the final color
selection process. Attain client approval of color selections.
Stage
6: DESIGN CREATION
Initiate
construction of the final design. The client will be asked
to review and approve a color composite of the design when
all of the parts have been assembled.
Stage
7: FINAL APPROVAL
Final design
is accepted and approved by the client.
